  • ordering repeat prescriptions
  • booking appointments
  • accessing online information

To digital tools to help people manage their own health and wellbeing at home.

In the coming years, digital services will become the first contact with health and care services for many people. National Digital Platform (NDP) will provide the technology foundations that will enable this.

One of the main benefits of NDP is to allow individuals better access to their health and social care data.

With better access to data, staff can make better decisions about care. Planners and researchers can improve the efficiency of that care. In time, the people of Scotland will have access to, and greater control over, their own health and care data. As well as access to the digital information and services they need to improve their own health and wellbeing.

Benefit 1

Enabling people to access and contribute to their own health and care data.

Benefit 2

With better access to data those involved in your care can make better decisions.

Benefit 3

Better access to services across health and care.
